In November 2023, Chicago artist Kayo reached out to me asking if I would be willing to shoot the next cover for his project Until His Burial that was set to come out at the end of 2023. He wanted something clean. Something that made him the center of focus, but he didn’t want to do something basic. He sent some references of covers that he felt like matched the energy of the project, and we ended up building our own version of Jay Z’s The Blueprint 3.

We gathered as many all-white objects as we could and shot the covers + press photography. Being able to merge my skills of photography with graphic design made this concept turn out exactly how we were hoping it would. I’m grateful for Kayo & this project because it was one of the first projects where I was tasked to handle the visual identity of an album in it’s entirety.
